The German B Braun is the market leader in regional anesthesia, and Philips Healthcare is one of the market leaders in ultrasound. The two companies started an alliance and developed the Xperius platform, which allows local anesthesia to be applied with very high accuracy and efficiency.

Philips design asked me to support the international development team as a product designer in the design process. In close collaboration with various departments within the organizations, we developed an intuitive product, with a lot of attention being paid to the working method and circumstances in the user environment. We tested models in hospitals at an early stage, after which test results were immediately incorporated into the design process.

Memorable for me was the smooth collaboration with a "dream team" of professionals, and the insight that I could also accelerate processes in this high-tech medical context by visually facilitating during discussions.
