Strategic design support for a tech-startup

Accerion Unconstrained Robotics is a Venlo-based tech startup, which entered the world of autonomously moving robots in 2015 with a revolutionary positioning system that enables AVGs (robots) to determine their position without the help of infrastructure. The added value of this for the logistics industry is enormous.

The founder of Accerion approached Rake Lijnen to design the Juno sensor housing, which forms the basis of the system. In addition to this housing, I guided Accerion in formulating its message to potential customers. Because the technology was so new and abstract at the time, we chose a very visual way to convey the unique selling points of the technology.

The strategic way in which we integrated industrial design, communication and graphic design contributed to Accerion's success at an early stage.

Vincent Burg, managing Director at Accerion:

“We got to know Rake Lijnen through a recommendation when we were looking for a catchy design for our prototype. Marnix contributed constructively to our strategy behind the design and with his experience quickly came up with good concepts and the final design. We are very happy with it and also receive many positive reactions. What really appeals to us about the way we collaborated is that Rake Lijnen quickly gets to the core of the matter and was able to translate our intentions well into form and image. ”

We zijn er erg blij mee en krijgen ook veel positieve reacties. Wat ons erg aanspreekt in de manier van werken is dat Rake Lijnen snel tot de kern komt en onze bedoelingen goed wist te vertalen in vorm en beeld.”
