Design of a human-centered machine

GEA Pharma Systems is a leading provider of equipment and services for the pharmaceutical industry. With the ConsiGma CDC installation , the company introduced a compact production line in which dosing, mixing, tabletting and quality control come together in one device.

Bringing the various processing machines together and integrating them into one housing, the Hegge ID design team focused first on the main architecture, then on accessibility of the components, and finally on the aesthetic integration. As with all projects for GEA Pharma Systems, the high demands regarding the fragile, sensitive equipment and the application in clean-room environments greatly influenced our work.

The ConsiGma CDC has been well received in the market and has set a new standard in user-friendliness and design. In 2013 it received a Henri van de Velde Label for good design.
