Nebulight is part of an innovative workout system that combines physical and cognitive training. This is based on the fact that training that combines brain and body exercise is more effective than separate training. Nebulight is the first product of the tech startup Nebula4.

Engineering agency Comate, which was responsible for the housing of the Nebulight, asked Rake Lijnen to make an aesthetic design for this. It became a collaboration in which design, construction and electronics grew together organically.

I started the project by looking for a distinctive main shape, with shape characteristics that would translate well into other products within the range. Then I worked towards the final version in collaboration with the Comate team.
