Interactive exhibition elements for a truck museum

One of the pillars of the Eindhoven industry is truck manufacturer DAF. Near the current DAF factory is the iconic DAF museum, with a large nostalgic retrospective. Since the arrival of a new wing, the museum is now also focusing on the present and the future of the brand.

Like many other museums, the DAF museum also struggles with how it attracts new, younger and more diverse visitors. By applying new (digital) technology and more educational and entertainment elements, the museum is now preparing for the future.

It asked exhibition builder Pronk and digital media specialist de "Jongens van Boven" to create concepts for interactive exhibition elements, with a high educational and entertainment content. Rake Lijnen created a number of stimulating interactive exhibitions with the Boys from Above, in which young people learn something about DAF and about transport in general in an accessible, creative way.

The exhibition is under construction at the time of writing.

Roel Creemers, creative director at De Jongens van Boven:

The chemistry created during our collaboration with Marnix is invaluable. He has the power to challenge you as a designer to think even further about your concept. His enthusiasm and boundless creativity provides new insights and helps projects to a higher level. His illustrations clearly outline concepts and give the client a very clear picture of the form and the interactive effect thereof. Marnix forms a clearly demonstrable added value in support of the decision-making process of the client to proceed with the implementation of the conceived concepts.
