Family business and stove manufacturer Flam has a tradition of combining traditional combustion technology with innovative techniques.

The company approached Hegge ID to redesign their successful MT series: a versatile fireplace insert for the home market. As a lead designer in the design team, I researched trends in the market and ways in which home equipment can be integrated in a personal way.

By disconnecting the visual and functional part of the stove, we created a stove platform that can be integrated into interiors and / or freestanding housings according to customer specifications.

The adaptability to new trends made the platform future-proof, enabling the product portfolio to be reduced without major concessions and the production to be organized more efficiently.
