Brinckers is one of the private labels of the International Bike Group IGB. Brinckers bicycles distinguish themselves from competitors by a high level of equipment (functional parts used) and a pronounced design.
IBG asked me to make a design for the Brinckers Boston. This model is characterized by flat frame tubes and is therefore a “graphic looking” bicycle. I wanted to enhance this two-dimensional feeling by means of color scheme and graphics. I was inspired by the Dutch graphic artist Escher, whose paerpetual patterns fit well with the image I had in mind.
By combining the sober, graphic character of the bicycle with a dark brown frame with a “glowing” logo on it, a design has emerged that stands out both online (internet sales) and in use.
