NGRAVE,a Brussels tech startup, launched Zero in May 2020, a cryptocurrency hardware portfolio that works completely offline and is immune to hackers due to an extremely high level of security. The zero is part of an end-to-end platform, which also includes a mobile app and a code-backup system. The platform is co-developed by NGRAVE, Engineering agency Comate, technology-hub Imec and KU Leuven.

Comate, who was responsible for the development of the housing, asked Rake Lijnen to make an aesthetic design. In contrast to the hard, factual principles, I chose to give the housing an accessible, human shape with a high degree of recognition.

This form language held up well during the elaboration phase by Comate and played a major communicative role in NGRAVE's campaigns.
